It is the “PROTOTYPE” for the “AMERICAN” edition. All of the Red and Blue graphics are cut from reflective vinyl. The “AMERICAN” Edition was never put into production so this is, and will be, the only “AMERICAN” Edition, Tribute Edition Shelby Mustang built. MUSTANG F/X was born January 1, 1999 after receiving a special contract from Shelby American Licensing, Inc., (now Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc.) signed by Carroll Shelby, giving MUSTANG F/X, Inc. and myself authorization to produce the “TRIBUTE EDITION SHELBY” Kits in four styles. The G.T. 350 for the LX Mustangs, the G.T. 500 for the GT Mustangs, the GT500 KR for the Cobra Mustangs and the HAULER for the Ford Trucks. These special limited kits were also made Official Products of Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc. The special Tribute Edition Shelby Mustangs were designed to pay Tribute to Carroll Shelby for all that he has done in the Automotive World. Only a few companies can say that they were licensed to build Turnkey Cars and special kits that turned vehicles into a limited production serialized vehicle using the SHELBY name. I am honored and proud to say that my Company, MUSTANG F/X, was one of those companies. This special Tribute Edition Shelby G.T. 350 AMERICAN Mustang is being put up for sell for a couple of reasons. (01) to help finance another business venture, and (02) because I am in search of a GT Mustang, a late model Ford E150 Cargo Van or a late model Ford F150 Super Crew Pick Up. OK…… about this Rare Mustang: It is number #017 of the 1999 model Tribute Shelby’s built. Each model year starts at #001. It is the Prototype for the “AMERICAN” Edition and will be the ONLY one built. It is certified as being the Prototype as well. The Red and Blue graphics are Reflective and looks cool at night when the lights hit it and freaks people out when they try to photograph it using flash. It has 98K miles on it but this is my daily driver so that could change. It has the 3.8 V6 and a 5 Speed manual trans (Pretty good Gas mileage). The “AMERICAN” Edition Package includes: Reflective Red and Blue Graphics, Red or Blue Racing Seats with opposite color (Red or Blue) Four Point Seat Belts, Billitt Shifter Knob, Rear Seat Delete, Custom Floor Mats, K&N Air Filter with a custom hidden Ram Air Pipe, Custom Mufflerless Side Exit Dual Exhaust, Cross Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors with Semi-Metallic Pads and a Fiberglass Front Spoiler. A Two Point Chassis Brace and unique 16” Wheels were added as well as moving the Rear Spoiler back almost 3 inches. I also custom made special Rear Seat area panels with storage access. The Passenger Airbag was Autographed by Carroll Shelby and you will also receive the Serialized Certification Certificate that is also signed by Carroll Shelby. In June of this year I installed New Brakes & Rotors and a New Battery. On the 22nd of July (this year) I just installed a complete Heavy Duty Clutch Assembly, in August I replaced the Serpentine Belt and had the Oil changed. I live in Tallahassee Florida and I have had no problems driving this car to Car Shows in Pensacola, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando and to Birmingham Alabama for the MCA 30th Anniversary Show. Every major Show it was entered in for competition, it has won a Trophy. I really hate to sell this special Mustang. I am listing it well under the value. I might consider a partial Trade of another Mustang and Cash or for the vehicles I listed. This Mustang is being offered “AS IS” with no expressed Warranty or Guarantee (guaranty). The over all condition of this Rare Mustang is Exceptionally pretty good considering it is a 1999 model in Florida that is Driven Daily and has 99K. miles on it. I would have no problem cruising cross country in this Mustang. It has never been Raced, Hot Rodded or Abused. It has always been Adult driven. Being in Florida all of its life the Front Bumper Cover has Luv Bug issues. The Right Front Fender Flare behind the Headlight and the Right Rear Fender Flare behind the Quarter Scoop has weird dings as if a child on a small Bicycle hit them while it was parked in the Driveway.
