This car was found a few years ago in a local town in bad shape as has been put back together to restore its original beauty as it did in 1964. It is clearly a 64 1/2 by looking at the VIN number and was produced in early April at the Dearborn plant in Michigan and then shipped to New Jersey. This car has been through a few owners but no one took care of her quite like we have. The Mustang has a 289 cubic inch v8 engine with a Holley 600 cfm fourbarrel. This fourbarrel is about a month old and recently replaced the original Ford fourbarrel due to wear on it. The engine also has the following, a chrome 289” air cleaner, chrome shock tower braces, “Powered By Ford” valve covers, chrome export brace, and a chrome Monte Carlo bar to also help the suspension. There is also a dress up kit on all of the hoses (stainless steal with red connectors) that makes the engine look very sharp and really turns heads. This 64 ½ also has a power steering option which was very rare in 1964. The transmission is a c4 automatic that is also less than a year old which replaced the original c4 that was in bad shape. The automatic has a mild shift kit in it. The paint is the original color, "Rangoon Red" with the matching red interior which was completely re-upholstered. New carpeting, seats, dash pad, and all accessories in the interior were replaced with genuine Ford Parts. The center console is original yet does not show the usual 40 year old wear. The paint is also less than a year old and has a clear coat finish but unfortunately the pictures just do not do it justice. As is, the Mustang has Flowtech long tube headers with a Flowmaster h-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers with duel exhaust and sounds terrific. The original manifolds are still in our possession and will be included in the purchase. The car has a very nice stance sitting on Cragar SS's 14x7's wrapped in BF Goodrich Tires with raised white lettering. The same goes for the spare in the trunk. This Mustang has been restored to its original stature with very few modifications. From the paint to the interior: this car has been finished and I show you these pictures with pride. The restoration process took approximately three years to complete in which every little detail was attended too and we believe the product was very impressive. Again, I must say the pictures do not do the car justice. This car is a legend and you see less and less 64 ½’s everyday. This Mustang has been restored to its original state with very few modifications. The new paint is less than a year old and is a Brilliant Rangoon Red with clearcoat. Interior has been re-upholstered and is mint. The engine has VERY low original miles for a 40 year old car (93,xxx) and ran strong even before the rebuild. Few upgrades to degrade value. Still has original items that are included (manifolds, rims/tires, etc.). Give yourself the opportunity to own and drive a true classic: the original Ford Mustang!
