Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this clean 1984 Ford Mustang SVO. The SVO, or “Special Vehicle Operations,” was a package only available from 1984-1986, and production is estimated to be less than 10,000 units across all years! The package included special tail lights (later used on the ’93 Cobra), adaptive suspension, the ability to switch from premium fuel to standard unleaded via a switch on the dash, and, most notably, a 2.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This black over gray hatchback is very clean and drives very nicely. The exhaust has been modified, but the vehicle is otherwise in stock configuration. Though only rated a tad shy of 200hp when new, the SVO trim was consistently quicker than the 5.0 GT models due to its lower weight. Start up this beastly 4-banger and start building boost!
